Zimbabwe Beat Australia by 3 Wickets in the Third ODI

Australia has been stunned by Zimbabwe in the third ODI in Townsville, skittled for just 141. Zimbabwe in response chased the target in 37 Overs with 3 wickets in Hands.

Australian Captain Aron Finch’s nightmare as a captain continues as the team was bundled out. All thanks to David Warner who scored 94 runs and saved Australia from a shameful score.

Zimbabwe went off to a good start in response, before Josh Hazlewood broke the top and middle order in quick succession. At one position, Zimbabwe was reeling on 77 for 5 and the target was looking distant. From there on, Regis Chakabawa, the wicketkeeper and captain took the charge and help the team to see home.

Ryan Burl grabbed 5 for 10 as Zimbabwe skittled Australia for 141 in 31 overs in the third ODI. First, in the series, Zimbabwe won the toss and bowled out Australia. Their seamers were outstanding, and Australia never built a platform, courtesy of poor shot selection from Australian Batters.

Warner and Maxwell had rebuilt Australia’s innings with a 57-run sixth-wicket partnership. Maxwell was out on his fourth delivery, while Warner was out six runs short of his first international century since January 2020.

Australia has already clinched the series with crushing victories in the opening two games against Zimbabwe.
