West Bengal Public Service Commission has conducted the preliminary examination for West Bengal Civil Services Examination 2021. As the examination has been completed, a debate on the WBCS Prelims Cut-Off score might trigger the same day. Certainly, the participants must be curious to know what could be a good cut-off mark to qualify for the main exam. Announced in 2020, the prelims exam for WBCS was supposed to take place in April 2021 and the commission had completed all the preparation for the commencement of the exam as well. Then the sudden rise of the Covid19 cases again, the commission decided to defer the exam until the situation gets to normalcy.

Once, the situation got normal, the commission has commenced the examination successfully. The commission is expected to announce the WBCS Prelims Exam Result in September 2021. The main examination for this recruitment might be administered in the first week of October and it seems the committee has given nod to preparations as well.

The WBCS Preliminary Examination 2021 has been conducted successfully by the Commission of Union Public in West Bengal. The candidates who score qualifying marks in the prelims will participate in the main examination and then further phases of the recruitment.

The WBCS preliminary exam is a one paper examination based on General Studies. The examination carried 200 questions and the time given to candidates was 2.5 hours to solve the question paper.

The examination is conducted in one shift across all the examination centres with all the guidelines released by the commission.

The WBCS exam is conducted for Four groups of civil services in West Bengal. To avoid any confusion, we are adding the names of the posts included in this examination.

WBCS Prelims Cut Off Score

Primarily, the candidates who are participating for the first time must understand the theory of cut-off marks or scores.

A cut-off score is the basic qualifying criteria determined by the commission of West Bengal PSC. Competitors obtaining that particular number of marks get chosen for the next stage of the recruitment or the examination.

A cut-off score is influenced by several components like the difficulty level of the questions asked in the question paper, competition in the examination and so on.
