WBCS Admit Card 2021 for Preliminary Exam Releasing Today

Public Service Commission of West Bengal is all set to conduct the Preliminary Examination for the Civil Services 2020 Exam. The exam is scheduled to take place on 22 August 2021. The examination will be conducted in Kolkata and other cities of the state in two shifts. The notification regarding the same has also been released.

WBCS Prelims Admit Card 2021 for this exam will be released on 06 August 2021, exact 15 days before the examination. The WBCS Admit Card 2021 will be uploaded to the website wbpsc.gov.in.

The announcement of the WBCS 2020 was made by WBPSC in early 2021. The commission conducts the WBCS Exam every year for the recruitment in Administrative and Civil Service Cadre of the state. The executive Civil Services Exam gets conducted for the Departments from Group A, B, C, and D.

The preliminary examination will be followed up by the main examination. The candidates declared qualified in the prelims will take part in the main examination. The preliminary exam of the WBCS 2020 is considered as the qualifying screening exam only and scores of the same won’t be carried to the final merit list.

The examination will be a screening exam and contains one paper only. The Examination Scheme for the WBCS Prelims is as below.

  • The Preliminary Examination will consist of only one paper, viz., a paper on “General Studies”.
  • There shall be negative marking for each wrong answer to multiple-choice questions (MCQ Type).
  • The paper will be of an objective type consisting of 200 multiple-choice questions.
  • The paper will carry 200 marks and will be of 2½ hours duration.

Candidates regarded also need to carry a photo id card to the exam hall. The examiner will ask to show you the Online Printed Admit Card and ID while entering the exam hall. Superimposed unavailability of any of the documents, candidates will not be allowed to take part in the preparatory examination. Aspirants can bring any of the IDs like Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Passport, Driving License, or Pancard.
