Candidates awaiting the new schedule of the UPTET exam may soon hear good news. The test was postponed due to the second wave of coronavirus. This is because the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board has sent a proposal to the Uttar Pradesh government regarding conducting the examination.

The test will be conducted for primary and junior levels, in which candidates who have passed D.L.Ed and B.Ed diplomas can join by applying online. The Examination Regulatory Authority of UP has issued notification of online application for the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) 2021.

Important UPTET Dates

• Date of commencement of UPTET application Form – 18 May 2021
• Last Date of UPTET Registration – 1st June 2021
• Last Date of Application Fee Payment – 2nd June 2021
• Date of Issue of Admit Card – 14th July 2021
• UPTET Exam Date – 25th July 2021
• Date of declaration of results – 20th August 2021

The UPTET 2021 will be held at various exam centres. The candidates who pass it will be eligible to join the teacher recruitments at the state level. This exam will be commenced for the primary and junior levels. The test will be conducted in Hindi, English, Urdu, and Sanskrit languages.

UPTET 2021 Notification – Online UPTET Application Form Apply

• Upper Primary Teacher: Candidates applying for the upper primary level should have a degree of B.Ed or DLED (BTC). Students with the last year of these courses can also apply for this test.
• Primary Teacher: Candidates applying for the primary teacher paper should have a degree of B.Ed. Students studying last year can also apply for the same.

For A Single Paper

General, OBC, and EWS category applicants will have to pay ₹600 application fees. The application fee for SC and ST is ₹400. The charges of ₹100 have been fixed for the divyang (PWD) candidates.

For both Papers

General, OBC, and EWS category applicants will have to pay ₹1200 application fees. The application fee for SC and ST is ₹800 while Physically Handicapped applicants need to pay ₹200 application fees to appear in both the papers of UPTET 2021.

UPTET 2021 may be held before the UP elections

The UPTET Examination was postponed by the authorities in view of the epidemic situation. Since then the candidates appearing for the exam have been waiting for the new schedule to be released.

According to reports, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to complete the UPTET 2021 recruitment process by December 2021. It is believed that the examination may be held before the Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. The exam may be held in the month of December.

Why is the UPTET exam necessary?

Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test is required to be passed to apply for a job in the posts of teacher. It is organized for recruitment to the posts of teachers from classes 1 to 8. Candidates pursuing elementary teacher education or a B.Ed course can apply for the examination.

It contains two papers. On passing paper 1, candidates can teach students of classes 1 to 5. While candidates who pass paper 2 can teach students of classes 6 to 8. However, passing the UPTET doesn’t ensure the job guarantee.
