UP Police SI Selection Process – UP SI Exam Pattern – Official UP Sub Inspector Syllabus PDF 2021: Uttar Pradesh Police department announces vacancies for Sub Inspector almost every 5 years. Usually, SI posts are advertised for both man and woman candidates for which selection is based on written examination.
Before the written test, a Physical test (PMT & PET) will be conducted for both male & female candidates. From 2015, there is no interview for Sub-inspector in UP Police.

Below is the selection procedure for sub-inspector recruitment:
- Online examination.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Only, the race will be required. No long jump or high jump will be required same as of Haryana police.
- Document Verification and Physical Measurement Test.
- The final list will be based on marks scored by the candidate in the written exam.

- A minimum weight of 40 K.Gs is prescribed for Female candidates.
- Minimum 05 c.m.s chest expansion (fulaav) is vital for Male aspirants.
Physical Efficiency Test (PET) (Race)
Candidates who will qualify the phase-1 i.e Documentation & PST will be called for participating in PET. It is only of qualifying nature, no marks will be added to the merit list for this test.
- Male candidates: 4.8 KMs in 28 minutes.
- Female candidates: 2.4 KMs in 16 minutes.
UP Police Sub Inspector Examination Pattern 2021
Written test for sub-inspector posts in Uttar Pradesh Police will be held for 400 marks. Multiple choice questions related to the following subjects will be available in the exam:

Pse inform that for 53Yrs age ESM what is PET standard? How much distance to be covered in how much time. In Police internal exam a constable who is below 45 Yrs required to run only 2.4 Kms in 20/22 Min as per UP SI 3RD Amendment rule 2017.
