State Combined Engineering Subordinate Service Examination, CESSE has been completed by the commission of TNPSC on 18 September and 19 September 2021 in the state. Divided into two papers, the examination is conducted in two shifts at all examination centres as per the schedule released earlier.
The examination was supposed to be conducted in June 2021 but the second wave of the Covid19 had some other plans for India. The pandemic halted all operations activities in the country and TNPSC was forced to defer the exam until the situation turns normal.

Examination for the CESSE is conducted in two papers. Paper 1 is concerned with the subject-specific while paper 2 is a General Studies paper which is a standard examination for direct recruitment in TNPSC. Candidates from unreserved categories need to score 200 marks in the exam to stand qualified for the next stage.
A few highlights of the exam are as follow
- The exam is conducted offline on OMR sheets.
- Paper 1 Carried 200 Questions while paper 2 had 100 questions.
- The examination is conducted at 7 district headquarters of the state.
The commission will provide the Complete Question Paper and Answer Key within a few days after the completion of the exam. The candidates concerned can download the pdf file of the same and match their answers with their answers.
TNPSC JDO Answer Key Objection Challenge
The commission will open an Answer Key Challenge window for a specific period for the objections against the provisional TNPSC JDO answer key. The candidates will have to register their challenges during that window online. The objections received via Post or Email won’t be considered for the revision.
Evaluation of the answer sheets will be done according to the final answer key. Both Results and Final Answer Key will be published on the same day.
