The Staff Selection Commission is the leading direct recruitment organisation that recruits candidates for the central government in Group C and Group D Cadres. About SSC CGL: SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level Examination/ CGLE) is one of the largest competitive exams in India conducted by the SSC. The SSC conducts this exam for the Group B Posts (Both Gazzated and Non-Gazzated) and Group C Posts. More than 3 Million candidates take part in the examination with a dream to get a Central Government Job.
The candidates go through the 4 stages of the examinations before getting it done finally.
- Tier 1 Exam: Works as a Preliminary Exam
- Tier 2 Exam: Works as the Main Examination Exam
- Tier 3 Exam: is a Descriptive paper
- Skill Test: Skill test for the CPT and DEST.
As this article is concerned with the Tier 1 exam, we are going to discuss only Tier 1 for now. The Tier 1 Exam for CGL is the preliminary examination and works as a qualifying test. Only the candidates scoring qualifying marks get a chance to sit in the Tier II Exam.
The SSC CGL Tier I pattern is as follows:
- Tier I will consist of Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions.
- The question paper will carry 100 questions.
- Each question carries 2 marks.
- 1/4th or 0.5 Mark shall be deducted as a negative marking for each incorrect answer.
- The candidates will have 90 minutes to solve the question paper.

SSC CGL Admit Card 2022 for Tier 1 Exam
The staff selection commission of India will upload the SSC CGL Admit Card 2022 online from the last week of March 2022. The Admit Card or Hall Ticket will be provided region-wise and the concerned candidates will have to download the same respectively.
The SSC would not be sending the Hard Copy of the CGL Admit Card by post and candidates must not wait to get one as well. They must head to a cyber cafe to download and take a printout of the SSC CGL Exam Admit Card 2022.

SSC CGL Admit Card Instructions
A candidate who is going to sit in the TIER 1 exam must carry an online downloaded and well printed SSC CGL Admit Card. All the information and photographs should be visibly clear and resemble the concerned candidate only. If a candidate finds discrepancies in the admit card, one is advised to contact the concerned region for rectification.
Along with the Admit Card, candidates must bring a valid photo ID Card. Candidates without ID cards won’t be allowed to sit in the examination and the ID cards will be checked while taking entry into the examination hall.
