Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) published an official notification regarding the recruitment of various RAS posts on 28 June 2023 through Advt. no. 02/2023-24. Now on that line, the notification of the commission will further continue the recruitment process. For that reason, the preliminary examination of Rajasthan RAS 2023 will take place in October 2023.
As per the notification, a total no. of 905 vacant posts will be filled this year. Among these vacancies, 424 vacancies are for state services and 481 vacancies are for Subordinate Services. The officials accepted the application till 31 July 2023.
The RPSC RAS Exam will be conducted at all the major examination centres across the state. Before appearing in the written test, candidates must go through all the relevant details such as Exam Pattern, Selection Process & Exam Process etc. All of these details have been mentioned in the article below.
RPSC RAS Admit Card 2023 for the preliminary exam will be released 10 days before the exam date on the official website. The commission will not send the admit card by post thus, the candidates will need to download the admit card online only.

Exam Pattern for Rajasthan RAS Preliminary Exam 2023
- The exam will consist of only one paper which is General Studies.
- The Exam will be of Objective Type.
- There will be a total no. of 150 questions.
- The whole paper will be 200 marks.
- A negative marking of 0.33 marks will also be there.
- The time duration will be of 3 hours.

Exam Pattern for RPSC RAS Mains Exam 2023
The candidates who will qualify for the prelims exam will be called to sit for the mains exam. the exam pattern will be as follows –
- The paper will be of descriptive type.
- There will be 4 papers.
- There will be 2 short questions, 5 medium questions and 10 long questions in each paper.
- The time duration will be of 3 hours for each paper.
