Punjab Police Department (PP) has started the recruitment for the post of Head Constable in Intelligence Cadre. The recruitment is being conducted for 811 Posts and out of these, 257 posts are for female candidates.
Punjab Police recently has opened numerous recruitments and HC Intelligence is one of them. A candidate having a graduation degree is eligible for the Intelligence Head Constable selection.
The online application submission process has come to an end as of now. The next stage of the recruitment will be the Online Test. The department has not made any announcement yet regarding the online test. It is expected that the exam will be conducted by the mid of October.

In this section, we will read about the Admit Card and Online Test details. In the first phase of the recruitment, the department will conduct the online test for the head constable candidates. The candidates who score qualifying marks in the exam will take part in the physical test which is scheduled to take place later this year.
Punjab Police HC Admit Card for this exam will be provided online by the department. A dedicated recruitment portal for the Punjab Police Recruitments has been developed and the department is providing all necessary guides for the candidates as well.
Admit Card/ Roll number can be downloaded using the Application ID/ Registration ID and Password. The candidates need to take a printout of the PP HC Admit Card on a4 size paper.
It is advisable to bring a Valid Photo ID Card like Pancard, Voter Card, Passport, Driving License etc while participating in the examination. Admit Card and ID Card will be checked thoroughly while taking an entry to the exam hall for verification.

PP Head Constable Intelligence Cadre Exam – Paper Pattern & Exam Scheme
The recruitment exam for the Intelligence Head Constable will be Computer Based Exam. The Computer Based Test consisting of two (2) Multiple Choice Question Papers to be conducted on the same day.
Paper Pattern for the exam is as follow
- the Computer Based Test consisting of two (2) Multiple Choice Question Papers.
- The Question Papers shall be bilingual viz. in Punjabi and English.
- Each Paper shall carry 100 Questions.
- It is compulsory to appear for both of the papers by candidates.
- Each Correct answer shall carry 4 marks.
- Negative marking for incorrect answers shall be to the tune of 25% of the marks assigned to a question i.e. 1 mark.
