The Subordinate Service Selection Board of the Punjab Government conducted the written exam for the post of excise inspector. The written exam is conducted on 21 May 2023 at various examination centres in Chandigarh and Mohali. It is reported that more than fifty thousand candidates had submitted forms for this recruitment exam.
Since the exam is completed, the board has released the PSSSB Excise Result 2023 as the evaluation completed by the Board. The list of candidates containing the application number and marks of the candidates is uploaded on the official website of PSSSB.

Recruitment for 107 posts of Excise and Taxation Inspector was announced in May 2022. The exam was scheduled to be conducted in December but due to administrative reasons, the exam was deferred to 21 May 2023.
Exam Overview
- The board conducted the examination as an OMR-Based Exam.

PSSSB Excise Inspector Result Process
To prepare the results, the board will furnish a few steps. At first, an answer key is released where the candidates are allowed to raise objections against the incorrect answers (if any). Based on objections from the candidates, the board prepares a final answer key and revises all the incorrect answers from the answer key.
The result sheets or answer sheets are then evaluated according to the final answer key. Once answer sheets are evaluated, the board will prepare the result and a list of the result containing necessary details will be uploaded on the official website.

The candidates scoring the cut-off marks will be called up for the next stage of recruitment. The cut-off scores will be released by the board when the next phase of the recruitment i.e. Document verification or any other is about to start. The board generally select 10-time candidates for the advertised posts for the DV purpose.
