State Council for Educational Research & Training (SCERT), Odisha issued a notification earlier on 5 April for the admission in Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed 2023) into 30 DIETs, 04 BIETs, 31 Government Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (ETEIs), 02 Government Elementary Teacher Education Institutions (SC & ST Development), and 01 Non-Government Aided Secondary Training Schools run by the Government of Odisha.
The online application process for registration started on 5 April 2023 and the process to invite the online applications ended on 30 April 2023. Now, the SCERT is going to conduct the Online Computer Based Test for admission to fill all the 5750 vacant seats for students in many colleges/institutions.
The schedule for the Entrance Test is likely to be announced this week. D.El.Ed Admit Card for the admission test will be released at least a week before the exam date.

The D.EL.Ed admission exam pattern is as follows:
- The Question Paper will be in 2 sections carrying a total of 90 Marks.
- 90 minutes will be given to solve the exam.
- Each question will be of 1 Mark.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- Section -I carries 30 marks and Section -II carries 60 marks ad are described below.

Instruction for Candidates appearing for D.EL.Ed 2023 Exam
Candidates going to participate in this exam must read these instructions before appearing for the exam:
- Reach the Examination Hall 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
- The candidates are not allowed to change the seats allotted to them in the examination hall.
- No other documents or textual materials are allowed to bring to the exam centres.
- Do not carry calculators or any other electronic gadget inside the examination hall.
- Do not bring any bag/luggage to the exam hall. The Centre Superintendent will not be responsible for the loss of any such belongings of the candidates.
- Bring a printed copy of the Admit Card to the exam hall, no entry will be provided in the absence of it.
How to download the Odisha D.EL.Ed Admit Card 2023?
Aspirants need to follow these simple steps illustrated below to download the admit card:
- Visit the official page scert.samsodisha.gov.in
- Click on the Existing Student Login Tab.
- You will be directed to a new page, now enter your mobile number, password and captcha to log in.
- After entering the required details click on login.
- Now click on View Admit Card.
- Thus, Admit Card is ready to download, print and save for further assistance.
