Maharashtra State Council of Examination Pune is all set to conduct the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test. The schedule for the Mahatet 2021 has been released and the MSCE will conduct the TET Exam on 10 October 2021, after a gap of 2 years. It is expected that more than 10 Lakh candidates will take part in the TET Examination.

The detailed notification regarding online applications and others will be released by the MSCE on the website www.mahatet.in. The guidelines regarding online application have already been published on the MahaTET portal.

About MahaTET: As per the NCTE guidelines, State Education Board must conduct the Teacher Eligibility Test to decided eligibility for the recruitment of teachers for classes up to 8. A state board can not recruit teachers without conducting the TET examination. Most of the states conduct this exam every year but Maharashtra Council skipped the examination for the previous year.

The MahaTET is generally conducted in two different parts named Paper 1, and Paper 2. Paper 1 is for the candidates who have qualifications for classes 1 to 5 and paper 2 for classes 6 to 8. Paper 1 is called Primary TET while paper 2 is known as Elementry TET in general.

The candidates willing to appear in the MahaTET need to submit the online applications at the website www.mahatet.in during the given period. The details regarding eligibility, fee, dates are provided below.

Maha TET Eligibility Criteria

As we are aware that the Maha TET will be conducted in 2 phases, the candidates can apply for either 1 paper or both in a single application. Although the education qualification requirements will remain different for both papers.

Educational Qualification

Paper 1 – A candidate must have passed 10+2 and Diploma in Elementry Education (D.EL.Ed also known as JBT)

Paper 2 – A candidate must possess a Graduation Degree and Bachelor of Education 2 years Course (B.Ed)

For one paper (Either 1 or Two) – ₹ 500
For both Papers – ₹ 800

All Other Categories including PWD

For one paper (Either 1 or Two) – ₹ 250
For both Papers – ₹ 400
