Department of Technical Education in Kerala is releasing the Trial Allotment List/ Provisional List or Merit List for admissions into Polytechnic Courses. The list is scheduled to be released on 24 August 2022. While writing this article, the official website where the list is to be displayed is facing some technical issues and we were not able to fetch the exact time of the release.

Admissions to the desired branch of polytechnic diploma courses offered by the DTE Kerala will be processed purely based on the Merit List. The provision List will be displayed on the official website in the first round on 24 August.

All qualified and registered candidates will be assigned ranks in the preliminary Kerala Polytechnic Rank List 2022 based on their performance in the qualifying examination and the DTE Kerala tie-breaking policy. The trial allotment is created based on the candidates’ provisional rank lists and institute preferences.

The students willing to take admissions to allotted seats in the Trial Allotment can book their seats by paying the fees and reporting to the concerned institutes once the first round of merit list is displayed. The students who do not get seats in the first allotment can wait for the next round of the allotment.

Objections Against the Trial Allotment

The authorities permit the candidates to raise objections against the provisional rank list if they discover any mistakes or discrepancies in it. Candidates must do this within three days of the display of the rank list by contacting the administration of their polytechnic college and submitting their objections through the college.

The appropriate authority will examine all objections, and any valid changes made will be reflected in the final rank/seat allocation list. The final rank list won’t be subject to any protests.
