Once again the opportunity has knocked the doors of the youth who aspires to be a teacher in Karnataka state. The School Education Department on the behalf of Government of Karnataka has issued the Teacher Eligibility Test (KARTET) 2021 Notification. The online KARTET Registration is already going on.
As per the latest schedule, Karnataka Teacher Eligibility Test will be conducted on August 22, 2021. KARTET Hall Ticket has been scheduled to be released on Aug 22, 2021. Passing this state-level examination is your first step towards becoming a govt teacher. Even some reputed private schools prefer this certification.

The examination is organized in a Pen-Paper based offline mode. The online exam option is still not provided for this state-level test. Both Paper I and Paper II have the same number of questions. A total of 150 Questions are printed on the question paper. There is no negative marking in KARTET and each question carries 1 mark.
Paper I: PUC / Class 12th with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
Paper-II: Graduation with at least 50 per cent marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
Aspirants who pass the Karnataka TET with the minimum prescribed cut off marks are assigned the qualification certificate. The validity period of the KARTET certificate is a lifetime now.
- General, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3: ₹700 (Paper I or II) – ₹1000 (Paper I and II)
- SC/ ST/ C1: ₹350 (Paper I or II) – ₹500 (Paper I and II)
Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from the fee payment.
