The Jharkhand Public Service Commission has conducted the Preliminary Exam for Combined Civil Services 2021. The examination is conducted on 19 September at various examination centres in the state. This exam is conducted for the 7 to 10 Combined Civil Services.

Results of the preliminary exam will be announced within a month or two as the JPSC has to conduct the Main Examination in the upcoming months as well. The candidates who had appeared in the exam can check JPSC Prelims Result for Civil Services Exam online at the website www.jpsc.gov.in.
The exam was first scheduled to be conducted on 12 September 2021. But due to the collision with the National Medical Entrance Exam NEET, the commission decided to defer the exam to 19 September.

If we talk about the preliminary examination, more than 190000 candidates are reported to participate in the exam conducted on 19 September.

A total of 252 vacancies under the Civil Services will be filled up through the advertisement issued by JPSC in February 2021 on their official website this year. The name of the posts falling under this exam are

Deputy Collector, Police Sub Inspector, District Coordinator, Jail Superintendent, Assistant Municipal Commissioner, Jharkhand Education Service II, Junior Registrar, Assistant Registrar, Assistant Director, Planning Officer and Probation Officer.

The candidates who get declared qualified in the preliminary exam will be called up for the main exam. The commission had already stated that 15 times candidates of the vacancies will be invited for the main examination.

Merit for the qualification in Preliminary Examination will be prepared based on both papers combined. Thus, marks for papers 1 and 2 will be combined and a selection list for the main examination will be released.

JPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam Cut Off Score

Cut Off score for the JPSC CCSE Exam will be decided by the commission upon evaluation of the answer sheets. As only around 3700 candidates will qualify for the main exam, the category wise cut off score may remain higher.

Cut off marks are highly impacted by the level of the question paper as well. As we have witnessed that the level of the question papers was moderate to tough, we can expect the cut-off to remain on a bit lower node.

A candidate scoring 40% marks in each paper for a candidate from the general category will be considered for the selection. A category wise cut off for the selection for the main examination could be the following.
