Jharkhand Board 10th, 12th Exams Postponed – JAC Class 10th, 12th Schedule to be revised

JAC postponed Class 10th, Class 12th Board Exams – Check Latest News for Jharkhand Board Exams Schedule: Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) has postponed matriculation and intermediate examinations to be held from May 4, 2021. Jharkhand Board Class 10th and 12th Examinations will now be postponed to June month.

Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) Secretary Mahip Kumar Singh issued a notification informing about the same. The decision was taken by the JAC in view of the circumstances caused by Covid-19. The situation in Covid will now be reviewed on June 1 and further information regarding the examination will be given.

The candidates will also be given 15 days to prepare for the release of the new exam dates for conducting matriculation and intermediate science, commerce and arts examinations.

Due to the corona epidemic, CBSE and ICSE Board have decided not to take the exam for class 10 students while a new date for Class 12th will be announced. In the same vein, the examination of all the three faculties of Matriculation and Intermediate was scheduled by Jharkhand Academic Council from 4th May.

These examinations were scheduled to continue till May 21. It has been postponed now in view of the increasing cases of the corona. The New Jharkhand board exams schedule will now be decided on June 1, 2021.

Board examinations of several states postponed

Board examinations in many states have also been postponed due to Covid-19. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren had already hinted at postponing the examination. JAC has issued notices providing information to all matriculation and intermediate students, their parents, school college principals, principals and officials.

Jharkhand will have 4.30 lakh candidates in matriculation this year, while 3.20 lakh candidates are scheduled to appear in all three intermediate faculties.

Demand for numbers based on performance

Inderjit Singh on Friday said that the Jharkhand board matriculation 10th examination should be completely cancelled and numbers should be given by the board based on the performance of the students.

On the other hand, if a student or student is not happy with his numbers, he/she should be given a chance to appear for the exam later. Also, the Inter 12th examination should be postponed immediately.
