Jammu is all set to make its debut in professional Golf. The second edition of the J&K Open will be hosted from 07 September 2022. The famous Tawi Golf course will host the J&K Open Golf Tournament till 11 September as the day is scheduled for the Pro-Am event.
On Monday, the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) and J&K Tourism released a statement stating that this would be known as the second edition of the J&K Open. The first edition of the J&K Open was held in Srinagar the previous year.
Olympian Udayan Mane, Rashid Khan, Khalin Joshi, Yuvraj Singh Sandhu, title holder Honey Baisoya, Manu Gandas, Karandeep Kochhar, and Arjun Sharma are just a few of the leading Indian pros in the industry. Mithun Perera and N Thangaraja of Sri Lanka, together with Jamal Hossain of Bangladesh, will be in charge of leading the international competition.
J&K-based players will take the lead in the local challenge. These players include pros like Pawan Parihar, Fayaz Ahmed Langoo, Raghav Wahi, and Mohd Din Pode, as well as amateurs like Prabhnoor Singh, Vedant Handa, and Zubair Hasan Zargar.

“This will be the first time that professional golf will come to the city of Jammu and I’m confident that the professionals will relish the experience of playing at the magnificent Jammu Tawi Golf Course. The tournament will also go a long way in inspiring many youngsters from the region to follow and take up the sport of golf.”
