India Post Service (भारतीय डाक विभाग) has released a notification for the recruitment to the Dak Sevak, Assistant Branch Postmaster and Branch Postmaster posts in Jammu & Kashmir postal circle under GDS Cycle III Recruitment. In this recruitment drive, the J&K Postal Department is inviting applications for filling up a total of 266 vacancies.

Indian Postal Department is conducting the Jammu & Kashmir Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment and other posts under Cycle III for the year 2020-21. The eligibility of the candidates for this is as follows:
The minimum educational qualification of the candidate has been fixed for the selection to the Jammu and Kashmir Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment. The applicant must have passed the 10th examination from a recognized education board, no preference will be given to the candidate for higher education.
Along with the academic certificate, the candidate should have Basic Computer Knowledge and Knowledge of Cycling. The candidate should also have a driving license.
To apply for the J&K Gramin Dak Sevak Posts, the candidate’s age should be 18 years working and a minimum of 40 years. Age will be calculated from the date of recruitment i.e. 30 September 2021. Age relaxation will be applicable as per the government rules and regulations.
For, J&K Gramin Dak Sevak Recruitment 2021, applicants from UR/OBC/EWS Male/trans-man category have to pay a fee of Rs.100 as an application fee. The application fee is exempted for all female/trans-woman candidates, all SC/ST candidates, and all PwD candidates. As per the official notification, a remuneration of 12000/- will be given to the selected candidates for the post of Branch Postmaster and 10000/- for ABPM/Dak Sevak posts.
The selection of the candidates to the respective posts will be done on basis of academic performance only. Candidates with high marks in matriculation will be given preference. If two candidates having equal marks, the candidate who has passed in the first attempt will be selected.
If still there is a tie, the selection will be done on basis of the date of birth. Candidates of higher age will be selected for the respective post.
