The Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) will conduct a competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Assistants. The first phase Preliminary Exam is expected to be held in the last week of June 2022. An exact date for the same has not been released by the officials yet.

The recruitment is being conducted for a total of 462 posts. Eligible candidates can apply online for these posts upto 01 June 2022. While the Preliminary Test will be held in the last week of June 2022 tentatively.

To get selected for the Assistant posts, candidates are required to prepare well for various levels of the selection process viz Prelims Test, Mains Examination and Skill Test. ICAR IARI Assistant Grade Exam Scheme

• ICAR Assistant Grade Exam will have four sections.
• There will be 25 multiple choice objective type questions in each section.
• Each question will be of two marks.
• Maximum marks in the Prelims exam will be 200.
• There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for wrong answers.
• The duration of the Prelims Exam will be one hour.

• ICAR Assistant Mains Exam will have two papers.
• Paper 1 will have objective type answers.
• Paper 2 will have descriptive type questions.
• There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks fr wrong answers.
• The scheme of the examination will be as follows.

The candidates who qualify in the Prelims & Mains exam will have to appear in IARI Assistant Skill Test (Computer Proficiency Test).

• The Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) will be held, comprising of three modules: (i) Word Processing, (ii) Spread Sheet and (iii) Generation of Slides.
• CPT is qualifying in nature and qualifying in all three Modules will be mandatory.
• The duration of each module will be 15 minutes. These modules will be conducted one after the other.
