Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank, Shimla has commenced the preliminary examination for the posts of Junior Clerk and Stenographer. The examination is conducted on 21 and 25 August 2021 at various exam centres in the state and Chandigarh City. It is stated that more than 1 lakh candidates have participated in the preliminary examination.

The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank is conducting recruitment for Junior Clerk posts. Total advertised vacancies for Junior Clerk and Steno Typist are 149 Posts. Out of 149 posts, 103 posts are under direct recruitment quota while PACS and Other Cooperative Societies have been given 41 posts combined. 05 Posts are advertised for the Steno Typist by HPSCB.
The bank has commenced the preliminary examination in this regard successfully. The candidates were asked to appear for the preliminary examination in the advertised notification earlier. We will talk about the exam analysis here.
HPSCB Preliminary Exam Analysis
The preliminary exam is conducted for the Junior Clerk and Stenographer posts. Now, the candidates obtaining the passing marks in prelims will take part in the main exam.
If we talk about the exam analysis, the examination is conducted for 100 marks containing questions from three subjects Maths, English, and Reasoning.
Since the IBPS has introduced the preliminary exam for the banking exams, most of the bank recruitment boards have opted the same way and so does the HPSCB.
The question distribution as per the subjects is written as below

As per the state, only 10 times of the total advertised vacancies for Clerk and 20 times of Stenographer posts will qualify for the next stage of the online examination.
