Public Service Commission of Haryana, HPSC has conducted the Haryana Civil Services (Executive Branch) preliminary examination on 12 September 2021 at various exam centres in the state. More than 1 Lakh candidates have been reported to participate in the Top exam of Haryana State. The preliminary exam is conducted for Group A HCS (Executive Branch) and Group B (Allied Services). Advertisement for this was announced earlier this year.

The examination has been completed successfully and aspirants have started to search for HPSC HCS Exam Answer Key for the Preliminary Examination. The HPSC Commission is likely to release the answer key within a week. The official answer key will be provided online at the official website of HPSC i.e. hpsc.gov.in.

HCS is the top exam conducted by the HPSC in the state. Generally, the HCS exam (Civil Services) takes place every year as the department has to fill the vacant seats on regular basis. This year the exam was deferred a bit due to the Covid19’s second wave had hit the country in the first quarter.
As of now, the preliminary exam has been completed by the Commission. The candidates who get declared qualified in the prelims will need to participate in the main examination which is scheduled for later this year.

The preliminary test is a screening test in nature. The examination had two papers and both of the papers were objective type multiple-choice questions. The examination is conducted as an OMR based offline test.
- Paper 1: General Studies – 100 Marks
- Paper 2: Civil Services Aptitude Test – 100 Marks
For each wrong answer, one fourth (0.25) mark shall be deducted. Paper-II i.e. Civil Services Aptitude Test is a qualifying paper with minimum qualifying marks fixed at 33%. Thus, Only the candidates scoring 33% marks in paper II will get paper 1 checked.

HCS Prelims Answer Key & Objections
Answer Key is generally released by the Commission according to the Question Paper Booklet Code SET A, B, C, and D. The answer key will be provided in a pdf file and the candidates can match their answer sheets accordingly.
The commission will prepare the final answer key upon revising the objections received from the candidates.

To register objections against the answer key, candidates need to open hpsconline.co.in and click the Candidate Login Button. There you can see the answer key for all sets and an option to raise objections.
