Department of Elementary Education, Assam has released a recruitment notification for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). The candidates who qualify for the Assam TET Exam will be eligible to participate in the process of recruitment for Elementary Teachers Posts in the schools located in the 6 scheduled districts of Assam State.
Candidates who are interested in this post can fill for Assam TET Recruitment from 05 March to 25 March 2023. Candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of a written examination. Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are going to apply for the Assam TET Exam should check their eligibility criteria that has been mentioned below.
Eligibility for Lower Primary Teacher
- A candidate who wants to apply for this post must possess a Senior Secondary Degree with a minimum of 50% marks OR
- A 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, OR
- A 4-year Diploma in Education, OR
- A Graduation degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education from any NCTE-recognized institute. From any recognized university by the government of India.
Eligibility for Upper Primary Teacher
- Candidate must possess Graduation and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
- At least 50 % marks I Graduation or Post Graduation and B.Ed. OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education OR
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and 4-year BA/ B.Ed OR B.Ed/ B. Scheduled Caste Ed. OR
- Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed.
Age Limit
Candidates must possess age limits prescribed by the officials according to their respective categories. As per the official notification, the candidate must possess a minimum of 21 years of age.
