State Level Police Recruitment Board of Assam recently had announced the recruitment for the selection of Sub Inspector in Assam Police. The vacancy is being organised for 306 Posts of Police SI. Since the online application submission process has come to an end, the board will conduct the written exam on April 24, 2022, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 noon to decide the eligibility for the physical test.
The candidates who have successfully submitted their applications will take part in the written examination which is scheduled to be conducted offline at multiple examination centres in the state. The official call letters have been released on 17th March 2022 that can be downloaded from the link given at the end of this article.
The SLPRB will invite only 5 times candidates against each category advertised for the physical test. In past, the board used to organise the physical test in the first phase. This time the board decided to switch the selection police and now conducting the written examination first to sort out the candidates for the physical test.

Here in this section, we will be talking about the written examination insights and the paper pattern. As the examination schedule is out, the candidates will have to take part in the written examination to stand eligible for consideration to the next stage.
Since only 5 times candidates will be called up for the next stage, in the exam we will witness some highly intended competition among contestants.
The candidates can get their Assam Police SI Admit Card for the exam online and they must be aware that the board won’t send them hard copies of the same. Thus, they should download and take a printout of the admit card at the earliest possible.
The candidates will be bringing the printed admit card and a valid photo ID card to the exam hall while appearing for the exam. the candidates without an ID card or admit card won’t be permitted to participate.
Candidates will be able to download the Admit Card / Call Letter from the Assam Police website by entering their ID number. A list showing the examination centres, dates and list of candidates (ID Nos. only) will also be posted on the SLPRB website.
Assam Police SI Exam Pattern 2022
The written test will be of 100 marks and will be completely OMR based. The duration of the test will be of 3 (three) hours. There will be 100 questions and each question will be of 1 (one) mark. There will be a negative marking of ½ mark for each wrong answer. The questions will be set in three parts
- (i) Logical reasoning, aptitude, comprehension
- (ii) Matters relating to History and Culture of Assam and India and
- (iii) General Knowledge.

Sir i unable to get my admit card after doing centre selection process
We are not getting admit card bcoz we were not aware of exam center Updation..Can't they provide exam center nearest to our given address..

It wasn't told to us at the time of application that we'll have to update centre later. Even the Application Print is given to us, so anyone would think that all the stages of the application is complete. It was neither explicitly written that we'll have to update centre (it just said to complete the registration), nor was this published in any newspaper.
Also, how can they directly cancel our candidature just because we haven't updated centre? Can't they simply allot the centre according to our address?
I would say this is planned. Some malpractice must be going on to decrease the number of candidates.
Everyone who has not recieved Admit Card, please go and request SLPRB on Monday, and if they ignore our requests, then we all should file a petition at Guwahati High Court.
