State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB), Assam is organizing the Physical Endurance Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) for the recruitment of Constable (AB/UB) vacancies for Sivasagar, Karimganj, and Jorhat districts on 01 March, 04 March and 07 March 2021 respectively.
Assam Police to conduct the physical test for Constable posts in March 2021. The admit card for constable PET/PST has been released at www.assampolice.gov.in & www.slprb.in one week before the event. The PET/PST schedule for the remaining districts will be issued soon. The Physical Test is conducted by the Assam Police before the written exam.
The recruitment for 2,391 Posts of UB Constable (Unarmed Branch) and 4,271 posts of AB Constable (Armed Branch) was advertised in December 2019. It’s expected that approximately half a million candidates have enrolled in this recruitment.

The written examination and physical tests are going to be held at all district headquarters. The candidates will be invited for the written test in order of merit in each category. Before starting the written exam, biometric verification will be done.
The bio-metric machine will be used to map the candidate’s left thumb impression. It is the best measure that can be taken to keep the fraudsters away from the recruitment exam.

Previously, Assam Police Physical Test took place in August 2020 for 16 districts that include Kamrup, Nalbari, Barpeta Baksa, Dhubri, Cachar, Nagaon, Lakhimpur, Golaghat, Dibrugarh, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar, etc. Later, On October 10, 2020, Assam Police Department canceled the PET/PST and took the decision to re-conduct the same tests again.
- First, the physical test takes place.
- Qualifiers of the PET/PST take part in the written test.
- There will be 100 Objective type multiple choice questions in the examination.
- Each question awards 0.50 Marks. There is no negative marking in Assam Police Constable Exam.
- The physical efficiency test is hosted for 40 Marks
- Extra-Curricular Activities & Special Skill Test awards up to 10 Marks.
- The PST carries qualifying nature which means it doesn’t allow any marks in the merit list but it is vital for the candidates to clear it.
As listed in the official notification, the admit cards for the eligible candidates will be uploaded to the constablerecruitment.com website. The aspirants must appear at the written exam/PET/PST venue allotted to them. The venue of the test must be shown on your admit card. Candidates are advised to report to the exam center earliest along with the call letter in the hand.
