Assam Public Service Commission completed the Assam Combined Competitive Examination (Preliminary)/ CPP on 26 March. The examination is conducted in all district headquarters of the state in two shifts for both papers. More than 75000 candidates were permitted by the commission to participate in the preliminary examination. It is reported that 70% of candidates were present to appear in the CCEP.

The selection of the candidates will be decided after several phases of the examination. At first, the preliminary examination is conducted. The prelims exam had two papers. Scoring of the preliminary examination will not be considered for merit although. Candidates who get declared qualified in the prelims exam will then take part in the main examination.
Candidates need to score qualifying marks in Paper II of the preliminary examination to get their Paper 1 Checked. A few Highlights of the APSC CCE Preliminary Exam are below.
- The examination question paper contained Objective Type MCQ questions.
- The exam had two papers on General Studies.
- Paper 2 is a qualifying paper. Candidates scoring passing marks only will get paper 1 checked.
- Paper 1 carried 100 Questions while paper 2 had 80 questions.
- Each paper will have a maximum of 200 marks.
- There shall be a penalty of 1/4 mark for each incorrect answer.
CCEP Answer Key & Objections
The commission will provide the answer key in a pdf file according to question paper codes Series A, B, C, and D. Candidates can download the answer key from the official website and match the answer sheets.
A link to submit objections will be added here. Candidates might need to deposit a fee for the objections which is refundable only in a case of valid objection.
